Beirut: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Tuesday held a series of calls with Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmed Al-Hajar, Minister of Social Affairs Haneen Al-Sayed, Tripoli Municipality Head Abdel Hamid Karimeh, Secretary General of Higher Relief Committee, Brigadier General Bassam Al-Nabulsi, and Head of the Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Unit at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Zahi Shaheen, to follow up on the implementation of decisions made during yesterday’s meeting at the Grand Serail regarding the deteriorating and structurally-unsafe buildings in Tripoli.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the discussions focused on coordinating efforts to address the immediate risks posed by these buildings. The officials are tasked with ensuring that the necessary measures are taken promptly to protect residents and prevent any potential disasters. The Grand Serail meeting underscored the urgency of the situation and the need for a collaborative approach to effectively manage the crisis in Tripoli.
