PM Salam Condemns Aggression on Beirut’s Southern Suburbs: Flagrant Violation of Resolution 1701

Beirut: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam condemned the Israeli aggression on Beirut’s southern suburbs at dawn today, considering it “a flagrant violation of UN Resolution 1701, which affirms Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” and “a clear breach of the arrangements for the cessation of hostilities reached last November.” Salam emphasized the seriousness of the situation and the urgent need for international attention.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Salam followed up on the repercussions of this aggression with Defense and Interior Ministers, Michel Mnassah and Ahmad Hajjar. The discussions revolved around assessing the impact of the aggression and coordinating a response that ensures the safety and security of the affected areas. The Prime Minister reiterated Lebanon’s commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region, urging all parties to adhere to international agreements and resolutions.
