Beirut: Pope Leo XIV has arrived at the site of the Beirut Port explosion, where he is holding a silent prayer in honor of the victims of the August 4 tragedy. Following this moment of reflection, the Pope is set to preside over a public Mass on Beirut’s waterfront and deliver a special homily.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the visit will conclude with an official farewell ceremony at Rafic Hariri International Airport, where Pope Leo will offer a final address before departing for Rome.
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam was present to welcome His Holiness at the port site.
