President Aoun Discusses Beirut Port Expansion and Development Projects with Public Works Minister

Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Friday discussed with Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, projects related to the expansion and development of the Port of Beirut.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussion focused on key initiatives aimed at enhancing the port's infrastructure and capacity. The meeting underscored the importance of the port as a crucial hub for trade and commerce in the region. The proposed projects are expected to significantly boost the port's operational efficiency and accommodate increasing maritime traffic.

The Minister of Public Works and Transport provided insights into the planned phases of the expansion project, which includes upgrading existing facilities and constructing new berths. The discussion also covered the potential economic benefits of the expansion, including job creation and increased competitiveness in the shipping industry.

President Aoun emphasized the strategic significance of the Port of Beirut for Lebanon's economy and reiterated the government's commitment to advancing the development projects.
