Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday monitored the security situation along the northern-eastern border and received a series of calls from Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal, who briefed him on the measures being taken to restore calm and stability in the region.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the president emphasized the importance of securing a ceasefire, halting attacks, and maintaining border control in the villages along the frontier.
