Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, expressed his "thanks for all the efforts and endeavours undertaken, particularly by the United States of America, under the leadership of President Donald Trump, as well as by international organizations, foremost among them the International Committee of the Red Cross, which today led to the release of the first group of Lebanese detainees held by the Israeli government."

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun stated that the release of the detainees underscores the effectiveness of Lebanon's steadfast position. He emphasized the necessity of completing the steps outlined in the trilateral framework to fully restore Lebanese sovereignty over its entire territory.

President Aoun concluded by extending his congratulations to the freed detainees and their families. He reiterated his commitment to pursuing national goals, aiming for a Lebanon where dignity is preserved, legitimate forces are the sole bearers of arms, and the state remains the only authority over its people.
