Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, inaugurated the Arab Forum for Sustainable Development 2025, organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in collaboration with the League of Arab States and UN agencies in the region. The forum took place at the UN House in Beirut, emphasizing regional cooperation for sustainable growth.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the day’s series of significant events continued with a meeting held by the “March Lebanon” Association. The gathering, titled “Reconciliation in Tripoli: A Path to Rebuilding the Social Contract in Lebanon,” was held at Saint Joseph University – Huvelin. The event was attended by the British and French ambassadors and featured the participation of Minister of Information, Paul Morcos.
Later in the day, Minister Paul Morcos, along with MPs Paula Yacoubian, Najat Saliba, and Waddah Sadek, was present at the launch of a campaign aimed at supporting women in the forthcoming municipal elections. The campaign included the signing of the “Salma-Sawa Agreement for Equality” at the M¶venpick Hotel in Beirut.
