President Aoun Visits Bkerke for Easter Greetings, Calls for Preservation of Civil Peace

Bkerke: President Joseph Aoun, accompanied by his wife Nehmat Aoun, arrived at the Patriarchal seat in Bkerke to meet Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi, offer Easter greetings, and attend the Easter Mass. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, following the meeting, President Aoun held a private session and stated: "For years we have awaited Lebanon's resurrection. In the midst of destruction and displacement, our priority is preserving civil peace, which is a red line. Whoever attempts to breach it serves Israel's interests." He further emphasized the importance of internal harmony, stating, "A thousand enemies outside the house, none inside. No one wants discord, as the Lebanese are weary of wars. Some speak of negotiations, what have we gained from negotiating? I say: what did we gain from your wars? Negotiation is not surrender, and diplomacy is not capitulation. Our communications continue to stop the killing and destruction."
