Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, has strongly condemned the repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, emphasizing that these actions represent a blatant violation of the sovereignty of a sister Arab state, international law, and the United Nations Charter. The attacks, which have now reached the capital Damascus and government headquarters, have drawn significant criticism from the Lebanese head of state.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, President Aoun highlighted that the continuation of such attacks threatens the security and stability of the region, potentially leading to increased tension and escalation. He expressed Lebanon’s full solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic, its people, and its state, underscoring the importance of regional unity.

The President renewed his call for the international community to assume its responsibilities by exerting pressure in all forums to halt these repeated attacks and to respect Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Furthermore, he affirmed Lebanon’s commitment to Syria’s unity, civil peace, and the safety of its land and people across all segments.
