Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, held a meeting this afternoon at Baabda Palace with the Chief of the Defence Staff of the French Armed Forces, General Fabien Mandon. The meeting was attended by Army Commander General Rudoplh Haykal and was conducted upon the delegation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun informed General Mandon about the prevailing security situation in Lebanon, particularly focusing on the ongoing Israeli attacks that have been expanding into residential areas across several Lebanese regions.

President Aoun expressed his gratitude towards President Macron for his proactive measures, emphasizing France's unwavering support for Lebanon and its citizens, including the provision of urgent assistance.
