PROTEST STAND IN NABATIYEH IN REJECTION OF THE COUNTRY’S DIRE LIVING CONDITIONS

NNA – A group of young activists staged a protest stand under the slogan in Manshieh Square in the city of Nabatiyeh today, in protest against the country’s difficult daily living conditions and the high exchange rate of the US dollar.

Protesters raised banners that read: “You have made us beg for a loaf of bread…Food is not our ambition, rather our goal is to live in a nation…Life is not about food…Even animals are full,” while patriotic chants played in the background through loudspeakers.

Demonstrators also chanted slogans denouncing the bank’s rule and the prevailing financial policy, and demanded an end to the dollar’s rise and the high consumer prices, stressing that the ruling class has brought them hunger and famine while dancing to their pain and suffering.
