Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamieh, indicated, in an issued statement, that his tour today among the workshops tasked with cleaning water sewers in the Metn and Beirut districts “was for a regular inspection of the readiness of the Ministry’s contractors’ teams and their ongoing work in sewer isolation, drainage and marine outfalls, and a field inspection of the causes of blockages and floods, even if they are outside the scope of the Ministry’s powers.”

Hamieh announced that a meeting will be held at his Ministry for the various stakeholders in other departments to coordinate integration among all.
