Beirut: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf issued a warning on Sunday, pledging a "faster and harsher" response to any United States military actions against Iran. This statement comes in the wake of Tehran's announcement that it had targeted oil tankers and US warships in retaliation for the US bombing of three Iranian tankers.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Ghalibaf emphasized the shift in Iran's stance towards US aggression. "The Americans must have realized that the era of proportionate responses is over," he stated. Ghalibaf, who has been at the forefront of Iran's negotiations with the United States, underscored that any threats to Iran's interests and security would be met with severe counteractions.
In comments relayed by state media, Ghalibaf further remarked, "Any aggression against Iran's interests and security will be met with a faster, harsher, and more painful response." This declaration signals a potential escalation in tensions between the two nations, as Iran asserts its readiness to retaliate more aggressively against US military maneuvers.
