RAHI PRESIDES OVER PALM SUNDAY MASS IN BKIRKI

NNA – Maronite Patriarch, Mar Beshara Boutros al-Rahi, presided over Palm Sunday Mass in Bkirki this morning.

In his homily, Patriarch Rahi wished if the Lebanese officials would listen to the voice of God and the voice of the people, which is the source of their authority and legitimacy.

The Patriarch indicated that Bkirki never sided with an authority or party that obstructs the constitution or favors its personal interests and narrow calculations.

In this context, he rejected this bitter reality and denounced all the politicians’ practices that led the country to this tragic situation.

Rahi also expressed his hope that a competent government for the people and the nation would soon be formed, and that President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri would form it on the basis of the Taif Agreement.

Finally, he appealed to God to save humanity from the coronavirus pandemic and restore life on earth.
