Beirut: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Rajji, on Tuesday visited Lebanon’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian at Dar al-Fatwa to extend Eid al-Fitr greetings and discuss political developments.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Rajji recalled the late Grand Mufti Sheikh Hassan Khaled, describing him as ‘a martyr of openness,’ and hailed Mufti Derian as ‘a voice of consensus and national unity.’ He further expressed comfort in the Mufti’s wise words and emphasized the importance of such leadership in Lebanon.
In turn, Mufti Derian wished the minister success in his diplomatic mission, affirming that Dar al-Fatwa remains a home for all Lebanese.
