Beirut: Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, on Thursday said he has received assurances from foreign diplomatic entities and relevant authorities that the road leading to Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport, as well as the airport perimeter, will remain outside any targeting in the ongoing conflict, provided they are used solely for passenger, cargo, and civilian purposes.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Rasamny had intensified contacts with concerned parties to ensure the airport and its access road are neutralized, safeguarding passenger movement and the continuity of operations.
