Rasamny Welcomes Saudi Decision to Resume Lebanese Imports


Beirut: Public Works and Transport Minister, Fayez Rasamny, on Thursday expressed his sincere appreciation to Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for the decision to resume the entry of Lebanese exports into the Saudi market.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Rasamny described the move as a reflection of the deep historical and fraternal ties between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, praising the efforts of President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in advancing the matter.



The Public Works Minister stressed that the resumption of Lebanese exports to Saudi Arabia provides significant support to the national economy and productive sectors, while boosting freight and transport activity through Lebanon’s border crossings and ports. This move reinforces the country’s position as a trusted regional trading partner.



Rasamny also reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to working closely with relevant authorities to ensure the highest standards of oversight and control at land crossings and seaports. This initiative aims to further strengthen confidence in Lebanese exports.
