RHC chief meets Jerash leading figures, representatives

Under royal directives, Royal Hashemite Court (RHC) Chief and head of the Follow-up Committee for the Implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah’s Initiatives Yousef Issawi met with leading figures and representatives the Jerash governorate over the past few days. The meetings are a continuation of a meeting His Majesty King Abdullah II had held on May 3rd with leading figures and representatives from the governorate to address their requests and needs and hear out any proposals they have for the development of Jerash in a manner that fits the tourism and agricultural landscapes. At the outset of the meetings, Issawi stressed that the requests and proposals that were put forward in the meetings will be followed up on by the RHC in coordination with the concerned authorities according to the top priorities and capabilities and in line with the government’s plans and programs. Issawi pointed to His Majesty’s continuous directives to reach out to citizens across the Kingdom to hear their requests and needs and meet those needs within the available means in coordination with the competent authorities. On royal initiatives in Jerash, he explained that, during the past years, a large number of royal initiative projects were implemented in various development and service sectors, stressing that the implementation of the royal initiatives is ongoing, and that the focus will be on productive and development projects that create job opportunities for young people. For their part, the leading figures and reps hailed the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein to Jerash, during which their needs were heard and instructions were given to those concerned to solve and provide the services the governorate needs. The speakers spoke about issues, needs, and the establishment of development projects that their areas need, which would advance its development dimension, enhance tourism, alleviate poverty and unemployment, empower young men and women, attract investments, and leverage the competitive advantages of the governorate in the tourism and agricultural sectors.
