Dubai: Speaking at the Arab Media Summit in Dubai, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam emphasized the evolving role of media, declaring that it has shifted from merely reflecting society to actively shaping it, either as a tool for peace or discord. He stressed the importance of media that “places truth above all else” and serves as a “partner in rebuilding trust-professional, honest, and committed to integrity.”

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Salam also reiterated the Lebanese government’s dedication to implementing UN Security Council Resolution 1701. He stated, “We want a state of decision, not a battlefield of conflicts,” underscoring Lebanon’s intention to distance itself from the duality of arms. Additionally, he expressed gratitude for the continued support from Gulf states, highlighting Lebanon’s commitment to moving forward with a peaceful agenda.
