Salam Calls for Immediate Ceasefire Amid Ongoing Attacks on Tyre and Nabatieh

Salam: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam emphasized in a post on platform "X" that "nothing can justify the ongoing attacks on the Tyre and Nabatieh regions and the destruction of their historical landmarks, nor the continuous threats against our peaceful people there, nor the repeated calls for them to leave their homes and abandon their livelihoods.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam underlined that these actions "amount to collective punishment condemned by all international norms and laws."

Salam stressed that "this makes us even more determined to demand an immediate ceasefire, to work towards a complete Israeli withdrawal from our country, and to extend the state's authority over all its territory, allowing all displaced persons to return to their homes in safety and dignity."

"We will continue to mobilize all Arab and international support to achieve this," he pledged, adding, "This is our national duty and our inalienable right, which we will not compromise under any circumstances."
