Salam Holds Relief Coordination Meeting with Emergency Officials

Beirut: Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, on Monday held a meeting at the Grand Serail with High Relief Council Secretary-General Bassam Nabulsi, South Council head Hashem Haidar, and Disaster Management Unit chief Zahi Chahine, in the presence of Social Affairs Minister Hanin El Sayed. The meeting focused on coordinating relief and emergency response efforts.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions aimed to streamline the collaboration between various relief and emergency management bodies. This effort is seen as a crucial step in enhancing the efficiency of response strategies in the wake of potential natural and man-made disasters.

The officials emphasized the importance of a unified approach to disaster management, ensuring that resources are effectively allocated and that there is a clear line of communication between the different agencies involved. The meeting also highlighted the need for regular updates and training to keep all personnel prepared for emergencies.

Prime Minister Salam reiterated the government's commitment to reinforcing infrastructure and support systems to better handle emergencies. The meeting concluded with an agreement to hold follow-up sessions to assess progress and address any arising challenges in relief operations.
