Salameh and Bayrakdarian Explore Byblos Tourism Project with UNESCO Standards

Beirut: Minister of Culture Dr. Ghassan Salameh hosted a meeting in his office at the National Library – Sanayeh, bringing together influential figures including Minister of Youth and Sports Ms. Nora Bayrakdarian, former Minister Arthur Nazarian, Deputy Patriarch Bishop Dajad Hagopian, lawyer Mr. Alex Korbagdjian, and Dr. George Nour. The Director General of Antiquities, Engineer Sarkis Khoury, was also present at the meeting.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the focal point of the meeting was a proposed tourism project in Byblos, a city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The discussions emphasized the need for the project to honor the archaeological and cultural heritage of Byblos, ensuring alignment with standards set by UNESCO. The collaboration aims to enhance tourism while preserving the historical integrity of the area.
