NNA – Caretaker Minister of Public Health, Hamad Hassan, received from the Brazilian Ambassador to Lebanon Hermano Telles Ribeiro a donation to the Ministry of Public Health, the second provided by the Brazilian government to support the ministry in its efforts to combat coronavirus.
The donation includes portable oxygen devices and medical tools for PCR testing, noting that a previous donation was made following the Beirut port explosion. It included respiratory devices that were distributed to governmental and private hospitals in various Lebanese regions in cooperation with the Lebanese Army.
In a statement, the Brazilian ambassador affirmed “continued commitment to supporting Lebanon,” noting the Ministry of Public Health’s “transparency in distributing the donation of respirators to hospital centers in various Lebanese regions.”
