Beirut: Israeli enemy warplanes carried out airstrikes earlier on Friday targeting the Litani River area near Khardali and the town of Chehabiyeh, while additional strikes were reported on Majdal Zoun and Maarakeh. The Israeli military also issued evacuation warnings to residents of Sarafand, Tafahata and Mazraat Siniya.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in Maarakeh, municipal teams and volunteers from the Al-Risala Civil Defense Association rescued three injured people from beneath the rubble following a strike on the town and transferred them to hospital for treatment. Search and debris-removal operations were still underway as crews continued looking for missing persons.
