Security Update: Israeli Strikes Kill Four in Qantara as Ground Activity Reported in South Lebanon

Dubai: Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon earlier on Monday killed several civilians and caused extensive damage in multiple towns, according to Lebanese authorities and local reports. The Emergency Operations Center at Lebanon's Health Ministry said Israeli raids on the town of Qantara in the Marjayoun district resulted in the deaths of four people, including two children, in a preliminary toll.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Israeli warplanes also carried out a morning strike near the Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas Mosque in the Old Serail neighborhood of Nabatieh, causing significant damage to the site. Other airstrikes targeted areas between Yater and Beit Lif, as well as the town of Khiam.

Additional raids hit the town of Sultaniyeh, while a series of strikes since dawn targeted Yater, Borj Qallawiy©, and Shaqra in the Bint Jbeil district, accompanied by concentrated artillery shelling on Wadi al-Salouqi.

A separate strike on a house in Kfar Sir killed one person. When an ambulance from the Islamic Health Organization arrived at the site, aircraft struck again, killing two paramedics and wounding another.

Residents in the town of Rihan were also reportedly warned to evacuate, according to a municipal official. Meanwhile, the Israeli army said forces from the 91st Division had begun what it described as "limited ground activity" in southern Lebanon.
