Sheikh al-Aql of the Druze Unitarian Community, Sheikh Naim Hassan, received a call today from the Vice-President of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council, Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, who expressed his “appreciation for the meeting held by the Druze political leaders in Khaldeh yesterday,” valuing the “spirit of convergence and unity portrayed during the encounter.”

In turn, Hassan thanked Al-Khatib for his initiative and position, stressing that “reconciliation and unity within the sect will remain the basis for its advancement,” and hoping that “this spirit will prevail among all sects and national components in the country, and among the various political forces and at the level of all officials, in order to get Lebanon out of the crisis bottom.”
