Beirut: Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem reaffirmed the organization's stance against Israeli aggression and emphasized the need for national unity and cooperation in Lebanon. Speaking at the inauguration of the Lebanon Medical Center in Al-Hadat, Sheikh Qassem highlighted the importance of unity among the state, the army, the government, and the people as the path to safeguarding Lebanon's future. He warned against retreat or surrender, which he claimed would jeopardize Lebanon's status as an independent state.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Sheikh Qassem identified Israeli-American aggression as Lebanon's core challenge, targeting the country's economic, social, and demographic foundations. He emphasized that strength, solidarity, and unity are essential in confronting Israeli ambitions, which he argued rely on force and occupation. Sheikh Qassem noted that the Lebanese people's faith in sovereignty has been pivotal in deterring Israeli objectives, particularly through the Mighty Warriors Battle, which he claimed halted the enemy's momentum.

Sheikh Qassem criticized U.S. efforts over the past year and three months to weaken Lebanon by advocating for disarmament, which he argued would paralyze the country's power. He stated that these pressures have failed due to their lack of legitimacy and the constitutional right to self-defense, underscoring the unity between the resistance and the people. His Eminence also pointed to an economic and financial siege aimed at portraying Hezbollah as the source of crises while weakening the state.

Efforts to sow division between Hezbollah and the Amal Movement have also been unsuccessful, Sheikh Qassem stated, highlighting a recent leadership meeting that addressed elections, cooperation, and reconstruction. He accused the Israeli occupation of targeting civilians and environmental resources to create fractures within Lebanon, citing incidents of abductions and vandalism by Israeli forces.

In addressing political dynamics, Sheikh Qassem pointed to external pressures on the President of the Republic, which he claimed aim to create a rift between the state and Hezbollah. He welcomed recent political visits as constructive steps toward coordination and managing disagreements, emphasizing a shared commitment to halting aggression and promoting Lebanon's development.

Sheikh Qassem praised Prime Minister Nawaf Salam's visit to southern Lebanon as a positive step toward national reconstruction, a priority that Hezbollah has long advocated. He urged the Lebanese government to address the situation in Tripoli, calling for urgent measures to ensure residents' safety and dignity.

Regarding the newly inaugurated Lebanon Medical Center, Sheikh Qassem described it as part of Hezbollah's long-term strategy to ensure access to healthcare. He noted that the center offers advanced medical treatments at affordable costs to ease financial burdens on patients, framing it as a commitment to social service and human dignity.
