Social development minister meets ESCWA delegation

Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Rola Dashti have discussed cooperation in social protection strategies. During a meeting, Bani Mustafa stressed the importance of benefiting from the best international practices in targeting beneficiaries and social spending, said a ministry statement on Tuesday. For her part, Dashti indicated that ESCWA is ready to cooperate in this field with the ministry and the National Aid Fund. The two sides agreed on a future work program to train the ministry’s staff on various aspects of social protection.
