The Supervisory Commission for Elections (SCE) on Sunday reported hundreds of violations resulting from multiple breaches of electoral silence by various media outlets, candidates, and political bodies.

The SCE reported that it was studying the violation reports it has thus far received from its different observation teams across Lebanon and taking immediate measures, such as referring them to the competent judicial authorities.

“We continue to keep pace with the electoral process until polls close, so we ask of all the media outlets, candidates, and political parties to adhere to electoral silence immediately, in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the election law,” a statement by the SCE said.
