Syria, Russia sign a MoU on providing humanitarian aid

Damascus countryside, Syria and Russia signed on Tuesday a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on providing humanitarian aid.

The signing ceremony was held at the end of the opening session of the joint meeting of the Syrian- Russian coordination ministerial commissions on the return of displaced Syrians at the Conferences Palace in Damascus.

The MoU was signed on the Syrian side by Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Hussein Makhlouf, and Deputy Director of the Affairs of the Presidency of the Russian Federation, Lakina Olga Yurievna on the Russian side.

Makhlouf stressed the depth of Syrian-Russian relations based on values, mutual respect and cooperation in various political, military, economic and cultural fields.

Minister Makhlouf pointed to the strengthening cooperation with Russia in the reconstruction, expressing thanks to the leadership and people of the Russian Federation, for their stances in support Syria, particularly Russian President Vladimir Putin for his stances in supporting the rightful causes of Syria.
