Damascus: Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa signed the draft Constitutional Declaration on Thursday. “We hope that this will be a good opening for the Syrian people on the path to construction and development,” President al-Sharaa stated after accepting the draft from the committee responsible for its preparation. He further expressed his aspirations for the declaration to mark a new era for Syria, one that replaces ignorance with knowledge and suffering with mercy.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the Committee of Experts tasked with drafting the Constitutional Declaration affirmed their dedication to the project from its inception. At a press conference, they highlighted that the drafting process was heavily influenced by the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, ensuring that the declaration aligns with the aspirations and needs of the Syrian populace.
