Syria’s national football team ties with Iraq 1-1 in World Cup qualifiers

The Syrian national football team tied with Iraqi 1-1 in a match that brought them together on Thursday in Doha, within the decisive round of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup.

The Syrian team scored the first goal through Omar Al-Souma in the 80th minute of the game, while the Iraqi team scored after 4 minutes through the penalty of Amir al-Ammari.

The Syrian team remained in the last place with 2 points in Group A, led by the Iranian team with 13 points, followed by the South Korean team with 11 points, then Lebanon with 5 points, Iraq with 4 points, then the UAE with 3 points.
