Marjeyoun: The region of Marjeyoun in southern Lebanon witnessed a tense security situation overnight, marked by on-ground escalation. The developments included machine-gun fire and artillery shelling that continued until dawn, alongside reported Israeli military movements in several southern villages.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Israeli forces reportedly advanced around 2 a.m. toward the outskirts of the village of Dibbine, under artillery cover and sustained machine-gun fire, with tank movements also observed.

In Marjeyoun, specifically the area of Jdeideh Marjayoun, rockets landed. One struck the Church of Saint George of the Greek Orthodox community, causing damage to the church and surrounding area. The School of the Sisters of the Holy Hearts also sustained damage after a rocket hit one of its walls, affecting the building structure. Another rocket fell on the road in front of a Lebanese Red Cross center, with no injuries reported.

The escalation was accompanied by a warning message issued by the Israeli military to residents of Marjeyoun, advising them not to move outside the town or head toward eastern areas and Dibbine. The warning included a map designating restricted zones, further heightening fear and tension in the region.
