The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, chaired Today, Tuesday, the twenty-first regular session of the Council of Ministers, during which developments in the situation and public affairs in the country were discussed, and a review and follow-up of the implementation of decisions related to a number of files and issues, and follow-up the implementation of the priorities of the government program, as well as discussing the topics on the agenda.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement that “at the outset of the session, the Prime Minister reviewed Iraq’s participation in the work of the 32nd Arab Summit, which was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and the Iraqi delegation’s emphasis on the importance of developing joint Arab action, integration and economic partnership among brotherly and friendly countries in the region, and that aspects of cooperation support stability and development steps for the benefit of all the peoples of the region.
In the field of regulating traffic in the capital and major cities, and reducing momentum and traffic accidents resulting from the indiscriminate use of motorcycles and similar vehicles, the Cabinet decided to approve the recommendations of the workshop held at the Ministry of Interior to discuss addressing the phenomenon of the spread of motorcycles of all kinds (tik-tok, satuta, motorcycles) .
It decided to completely forbid to import motorcycles (tik-tok and satuta), when safety and security conditions and standard specifications are not met.
