The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority signs an air services agreement with the Russian Federation

The Head of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, Imad Abdul Razzaq Al-Asadi, signed the air services agreement with the Russian Federation, in the presence of the Iraqi Ambassador to Russia, Qahtan Al-Jubouri.

This comes on the sidelines of the International Economic Forum in the Russian city of Kazan.

The Head of the Authority said, according to the statement of the Authority: that the final signing of that agreement comes with the aim of updating the air transport agreement signed with the Soviet Union in 1962, for the purpose of updating it and enhancing prospects for joint cooperation in the transport sector in a way that contributes to developing the reality of civil aviation between the two countries.

He explained that the Kazan Economic Forum is a good opportunity for communication among members of the Islamic world and to discuss a set of common goals in order to implement a set of joint projects to enhance the principle of partnership and meaningful vision in several economic sectors.

It is noteworthy that the Kazan Forum included in its agenda about 200 events, sessions, conferences and events in several fields with the aim of strengthening trade, economic, practical ties and other fields between Russia and the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation./ End
