Caretaker Minister of Tourism Walid Nassar received in his office at the Ministry today, Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Baris Ulusoy, accompanied by “TIKA” Organization’s Beirut-office Coordinator, Orhan Aydin, and a number of the embassy’s diplomatic staff.

The visit was a chance to dwell on the bilateral agreements signed between the two countries.

In this framework, Nassar, Ulusoy and Aydin inspected the works on the “One Stop Shop” office, located at the main entrance to the Ministry of Tourism, which was established through funding by “TIKA” Organization as an in-kind donation to the Ministry, and which Minister Nassar had previously announced as part of his work plan on tourism administrative decentralization that began since he assumed his ministerial duties.

The “One Stop Shop” will be officially inaugureated on July 21, and this project is among the agreements signed between Lebanon and Turkey during the visit made by the Caretaker Tourism Minister, accompanied by Prime Minister Najib Mikati, to Turkey and their meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkish officials.

On the other hand, Nassar met today with the delegation of the ‘100/100 Liban’ Association who briefed him on the most prominent achievements of the Association, and agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry and the Association next week, aiming for partnership and cooperation to develop sustainable tourism and activate it in various regions. To this end, a coordination committee will be formed between the Tousim Ministry and the Association, with two mutual underway projects to be announced soon.
