Beirut: U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Lisa Johnson, held a reception at her residence to honor the Lebanese delegation attending the SelectUSA 2025 Investment Summit scheduled to take place in Maryland from May 11 to May 14. The SelectUSA Investment Summit is recognized as the largest annual event aimed at promoting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the United States, by convening international investors, U.S. state and local representatives, and government officials to facilitate investment in the U.S. economy.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the event is organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce. SelectUSA also offers information and services to assist foreign investors in navigating the process of investing in the U.S. The Lebanese delegation comprises investors from various sectors including Information and Communication Technology, Business and Professional Services, Energy, Financial Services, Food and Beverage, Design and Construction, and Equipment and Machinery.

Ambassador Johnson expressed her gratitude to the delegation members for their participation in the SelectUSA summit, emphasizing the significance of the business and economic ties between the U.S. and Lebanon.
