UAE Creates Foreign Trade Ministry, Prime Minister Says

Beirut: UAE created a new ministry of foreign trade, and appointed Thani al Zeyoudi as its minister, the United Arab Emirates prime minister and Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said in a post on X on Friday.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the establishment of the new ministry marks a significant step in the UAE’s efforts to enhance its foreign trade operations. The appointment of Thani al Zeyoudi as the minister is expected to bring a focused approach to the country’s trade policies and international economic partnerships.

The announcement was made through the social media platform X, highlighting the UAE’s use of digital platforms for official communications. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s decision underscores the importance the UAE places on expanding its international trade presence and adapting to global economic changes.

The new ministry is anticipated to streamline the UAE’s trade activities and strengthen its position as a key player in the global market. The move aligns with the UAE’s broader economic strategy to diversify its economy and reduce dependence on oil revenues.
