Beirut: UK Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, Hamish Falconer, on Tuesday expressed deep concern over Israel's announced intention to expand its ground operations in Lebanon, warning of the severe humanitarian implications amid ongoing displacement.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in a statement posted on the X platform, Falconer highlighted that more than one million people in Lebanon have already been forcibly displaced, stressing the urgent need to prevent further escalation.
He called on Israel to avoid exacerbating the conflict and to refrain from any actions aimed at seizing Lebanese territory.
