Beirut: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has announced that its humanitarian convoy is currently en route to Deir Al Ahmar. This marks a significant effort to provide aid to families who have been displaced due to recent airstrikes in the region.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the UNHCR has detailed that the convoy comprises four trucks, which are part of the Logistics Cluster Convoy. These trucks are loaded with essential supplies, including 1,500 blankets, 1,000 winter jackets, 900 sleeping mats, and 700 solar lamps, all intended to support the affected families in Bekaa. The organization emphasized the importance of this aid, especially as temperatures are dropping rapidly, posing additional challenges for those displaced.
