Caretaker Information Minister, Ziad Makary, on Tuesday welcomed United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Joanna Wronecka, with whom he discussed prospects for joint cooperation between the Ministry of Information and the United Nations organizations operating in Lebanon.

For her part, Wronecka stressed “the need to protect journalists and ensure their personal safety, as well as the need to combat hate speech and to steer clear from spreading false news and rumours.”
