(UPDATE) FOREIGN MINISTRY OFFERS CONDOLENCES OVER SYRIA AND TURKEY EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS, EXPRESSES LEBANON’S READINESS TO EXTEND SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE

In an issued statement, Lebanon’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants expressed its deep sympathy and solidarity with the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic regarding the catastrophe caused by the huge earthquake that struck Turkey, leaving hundreds of victims and a large number of injured, in addition to the collapse and cracking of hundreds of residential buildings.

The Ministry offered its deepest condolences to the government and people of the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic, and to the families of the victims, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery, and expressing Lebanon’s readiness to extend support and assistance.

The Ministry also offered “its deepest condolences, to the government and people of the Republic of Turkey, for the victims of the earthquake that struck Turkish territory, leaving hundreds of victims and a large number of injured, in addition to the collapse and cracking of hundreds of residential buildings.”

The Ministry also expressed its deep sympathy and solidarity with the families of the victims, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery, and expressing Lebanon’s readiness to extend support and assistance
