Voter Turnout Rates Released After Polls Close in North Lebanon and Akkar

Beirut: The Interior and Municipalities Ministry has released the voter turnout statistics for the governorates of North Lebanon and Akkar following the closure of ballot boxes at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the turnout rates varied across different regions within these governorates. In North Lebanon, the city of Tripoli recorded a turnout of 25.04%, while Zgharta saw a higher participation rate at 38.77%. Bcharre had a turnout of 32.03%, and Minnieh-Dinnieh reported the highest participation in the area with 49.96%. Koura and Batroun also reported significant turnout rates of 38.92% and 48.26%, respectively.

In terms of eligible voters, North Lebanon had a total of 614,295 eligible individuals, with 220,562 actual voters casting their ballots, resulting in a turnout percentage of 35.90%. Meanwhile, Akkar had 294,647 eligible voters, out of which 139,363 participated, yielding a turnout of 47.30%.
