WEHBE MEETS SLOVAK STATE SECRETARY

NNA – Caretaker Foreign Minister, Charbel Wehbe, on Monday received at his Ministry office the State Secretary of the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry, Ingrid Brocková, on her first visit to Lebanon, in order to provide urgent humanitarian aid, to inspect projects her country is implementing in several Lebanese regions, as well as to inaugurate the new headquarters of the Embassy of Slovakia in Beirut.

 

Minister Wehbe discussed with Brocková the difficulties Lebanon is facing in the field of reactivating the economic wheel and forming a new government without any delay, to enable Lebanon to pursue negotiations with the International Monetary Fund and international institutions to advance the troubled economic and financial sectors.

 

The Slovak official said she encourages the Lebanese government to work to resolve the crisis as soon as possible, in the interest of the Lebanese people.
