The Head of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Jassim Muhammad Abboud Al-Amiri, affirmed that the constitutional judiciary is the constitutional institution that works for the achievement of justice and the maintenance of human rights.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The Court said in a statement: “Judge Al-Amiri participated, with a member of the Federal Court, in the conference of Arab constitutional councils and courts held in the Arab Republic of Egypt,” announcing “the desire of the participating countries in the conference and their willingness to meet in Baghdad.”<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Al-Amiri explained: “The constitutional judiciary is the most important tool of the state in preserving human rights, and standing up to the means of violence and arbitrariness that can be used against freedoms.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
He added: “In front of the power of the state and the power of the legislative and executive authorities, the role of the constitutional judiciary stands out, to prevent abuse of human rights by the legislative and executive authorities, which confirms the consolidation of justice and support for the principle of separation of powers.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Al-Amiri stressed: “The goal of the conference is what the human society in general aspires to at the present time, as the emergence of the judiciary in which the individual enjoys freedom of speech and belief and is liberated from the power of the ruling regimes,” referring to “the willingness of the Iraqi side to deal with all Arab countries, within a union Constitutional councils and cooperation with global and regional constitutional federations.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
