\nAmman: About 45,000 Jordanians have performed Umrah (Lesser Pilgrimage) since the beginning of the Hijri Umrah season that commenced in July and continued until the end of the current year, said Belal Rubin, a representative of Hajj and Umrah companies and a member of the Jordan Society of Tourism and Travel Agents (JSTA).<\/p>\n
In an interview with the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Rubin highlighted that the demand for Umrah trips among Jordanians has been relatively weak compared to the previous year. He further explained that the number of Jordanian pilgrims during the period from July to December last year had reached 70,000 individuals.<\/p>\n
Anticipating an upturn in demand, Rubin expected a surge in Jordanian citizens seeking to perform Umrah rituals during the upcoming winter school vacation, a customary trend observed annually. To motivate Jordanians, Hajj and Umrah offices have introduced encouraging offers and packages.<\/p>\n

Tripoli: Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Ageela Saleh, met in the city of Al-Qubba with more than 30 political parties across Libya in the presence of the HoR’s member, Abdul-Hadi Al-Saghir.<\/p>\n
The parties called for the need to accelerate the holding of the presidential and parliamentary elections in accordance with the electoral laws issued in this regard and the need to form a unified new government for the country that will supervise the holding of the elections and support the Elections Commission to implement this national entitlement, according to the HoR’s spokesman, Abdullah Belhaq.<\/p>\n
According to Belhaq, the parties also asked Ageela to amend Law No. 29 of 2012 regarding organizing parties, which will be referred to the Legislative Committee of the HoR for consideration.
