NNA \u2013\u00a0Caretaker Minister of Education and Higher Education, Tarek Al-Majzoub,\u00a0on Friday welcomed in his office the UK\u00a0Charg\u00e9 d’Affaires in Lebanon, Dr. Martin Longden, accompanied by the embassy\u2019s Development Program Officer, in the presence of Ministry\u2019s Director General Fadi Yaraq.<\/p>\n

Discussions reportedly focused on UK-funded educational projects in Lebanon.<\/p>\n

Longden affirmed that his country continues to stand by Lebanon and support joint projects as much as possible, despite the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic on Britain’s economy and the economies of donor countries.<\/p>\n

Longden also stressed the importance of cooperation to preserve the continuity of education in all its forms and working to improve its quality.<\/p>\n
