SHENZHEN, China, June 11, 2021 \/PRNewswire\/ —\u00a0ZTE Corporation (0763.HK<\/a> \/ 000063.SZ<\/a>), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the mobile internet, and China Unicom have done a commercial trial of the industry’s first Intelligent Radio Network\u00a0Orchestration Solution, with both\u00a0user orchestration and network orchestration, in Dalian, China.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of 2021, ZTE\u00a0released the industry’s first Intelligent Orchestration Radio Network Solution, based on the ZTE’s vision and the work for 5G network development. Powered by base station native intelligence, this solution improves user experiences\u00a0by virtue of\u00a0user orchestration and network orchestration,\u00a0meeting\u00a0more diverse requirements of both B2B\u00a0and B2C\u00a0services.<\/p>\n

The results show that user orchestration can achieve improvement in both 5G user experiences\u00a0and 5G camping ratio. The uplink NR low-throughput user ratio is reduced by 50%\u00a0while\u00a0the handover delay is reduced by 50% and the 5G camping ratio is increased significantly.<\/p>\n

Furthermore,\u00a0when\u00a04G\/5G dynamic spectrum sharing\u00a0is on, the network orchestration can\u00a0automatically adjust the spectrum configurations\u00a0according to the traffic requirements. The\u00a0average 5G user throughput is increased\u00a0by 20%-130% adapting to spectrum configuration,\u00a0while the 4G user number and traffic remain unaffected. This brings new possibilities to NR user experience improvement and O&M\u00a0simplification in the 4G\/5G dynamic spectrum sharing scenario.<\/p>\n

To date, ZTE\u00a0and China Unicom have made great progress\u00a0in various innovation pilot fields.\u00a0 For instance, ZTE won the ICT\u00a0China 2020\u00a0Annual\u00a0Excellent Solution Award\u00a0for its trusted sharing solution based on the blockchain technology\u00a0in the 5G RAN sharing scenario, and was rewarded\u00a0the Best Practice Award for 5G Network and Terminal Coordination\u00a0for its 5G low-altitude private network.<\/p>\n

Moving forward,\u00a0ZTE\u00a0and China Unicom will collaborate further with each other in intelligent radio network orchestration from standards, products\u00a0and services to facilitate research, development and commercial applications, aiming at building 5G networks\u00a0with\u00a0enhanced user experiences\u00a0and network efficiency.<\/p>\n
