This is the largest survey of employee experiences in Asia.<\/p>\n<p>To be named as best in Asia, these 200 companies were the highest ranked on Great Place to Work<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0Best Workplaces\u2122 National lists across the region. This recognition is based on confidential survey data assessing employee experiences of trust, innovation, company values and leadership. Companies are also evaluated on how well they are creating a For All\u2122\u00a0workplace experience, inclusive of all employees no matter who they are or what they do.<\/p>\n<p>On average, companies ranked on the Best Workplaces in Asia\u2122 scored 10% better than those that made it to the National list level \u2014 an\u00a0incredibly\u00a0high bar as such workplaces are the best of the best in their own country.\u00a0The Best Workplaces in Asia\u2122 also had 15% more employees report:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Feeling that management involves people in its decision-making<\/li>\n<li>Receiving special and unique benefits<\/li>\n<li>Receiving a fair share of the profits made by the organization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For companies on National lists across Asia, 70% of employees said they experience well-being at work (defined by factors such as feeling cared for and believing their workplace is a psychologically and emotionally healthy place to work). But that number jumps even higher to 81% at the Best Workplaces in Asia\u2122.<\/p>\n<p><b> <span id=\"m_spanHghlt4d57\">&#8220;The Best Workplaces in AsiaTM set the bar for company culture by supporting employee well-being and building inclusive workplaces that are good for everyone,&#8221; said Michael C. Thanks to these companies, more than 3.3 million employees benefit from the highest working conditions in a range of industries across Asia.&#8221;<\/span> <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Highlights from the\u00a0<\/b><b>Best Workplaces in Asia\u2122 2021<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Topping the list for the second year in a row in the multinational category are shipping company DHL Express and hotelier Hilton &#8211; both holding onto their 2020 first and second-place rankings, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>In the large category, PAP Community Foundation (Singapore), Talawakelle Tea Estates (Sri Lanka), and KB Kookmin Card (South Korea) claimed the top three spots.<\/p>\n<p>Canva (Philippines) topped the list in the small-medium business (SMB) category, followed by Charity Committee for Orphans Care (ENSAN) (<span id=\"m_spanHghltc9a7\">Kingdom of Saudi Arabia<\/span>) and THE One (<span id=\"m_spanHghlt5c32\">United Arab Emirates<\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>Several new entries made the list this year, including luxury retailer Chalhoub Group, telecom company Ericsson, medical device supplier Medtronic, and financial services brands American Express and Synchrony. All of these brands made it into the top 15 multinational workplaces in Asia.<\/p>\n<p>This year, COVID-19 brought physical and mental well-being front of mind for both employers and employees.\u00a0In China, Hilton provided a live-stream lecture on return-to-work safety with the chief doctor of the Shanghai Centre for Disease Control and the director of infectious diseases at Huashan Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>In India, Medtronic introduced a vaccination program for employees and their families. Lighting company Signify has in-house doctors available 2-3 days per week. In the Philippines, Canva is offering free COVID vaccinations for all employees and their household families.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"m_spanHghlt1333\">In the United Arab Emirates and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, maintaining employee welfare was their goal as THE One and The Chalhoub Group prioritized constant internal communication and transparency. From free sessions with clinical psychologists &amp; life coaches at The Chalhoub Group through to daily group counselling at THE One, the organizations not only succeeded in accommodating for their employees in terms of safety but also managed to watch their organization prosper during these turbulent times.
