Minister of Industry Georges Poushkian met today with Ministers of Environment Nasser Yassin, and Energy and Water Walid Fayyad, with talks centering on industrial and environmental matters and ways to secure energy for industrialists in the Bekaa region.<\/p>\n

Poushkian highlighted the \u201cneed to find solutions that reduce energy costs for industrialists, especially factories that use intensive energy.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In this context, Fayyad made a phone call to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electricity Company of Zahle, whereby it was agreed to re-secure power directly from the Electricit\u00e9 du Liban Company (EDL) for factories equipped with generating stations in the Bekaa and Zahle regions.<\/p>\n
